12.11.08 Geek in the Park talk
It was such a long time ago that I spoke at Geek in the Park on the subject of “Pixel Pushing”, and I’m finally getting around to posting the resources now! Tardy.

If anyone still wants it, the talk is available in the following formats:
- Slides in PDF format (8.5mb).
- The audio of the talk is available on the official site
- A HTML Transcript by CastingWords (sponsored by Opera ;o) ). Reading back the original transcript was quite painful, as it highlighted how many times I say “so…” and (laughs) amongst other waffle. It’s all good self-critical feedback for future talks though.
- All links mentioned are on delicious. Please note the delicious link on the PDF slides is wrong!

The PDF link requires a login for slideshare. Would it be possible if you hosted the file somewhere else?

Thanks for coming Jon, it made for a good evening. Shame about the weather! Hopefully it’ll be better next year.

Really enjoyed that talk. Also appreciate you posting your slides and links here to follow along, it was like I was there.

Very interesting and informative stuff.
I am particularly interested in the semiotics side of design and was wondering if you know whether that formassembly.com data still exists on the web?
∞ Jon Hicks said 452 days ago:
@Neil – yep, it’s in the links!

That was so awesome! I had watched some videos on 3dbuzz about drawing characters and I had never related it to being able to draw the silverback gorilla. Very cool. Thanks for the good links aswell, the favicon one was good!
