Has Santa moved to Rhode Island?

This morning I received a letter from someone in North Kingstown. I say letter, it was actually a blank piece of paper along with no fewer than four shiny new window stickers of that oh so beautiful new BBEdit Icon I’m a fan of:

Man, I am still astounded they made that switch. They didn’t have an awful icon/logo before, it was at least tolerable. I haven’t seen this new one in months; I have long since replaced it with an Iconfactory one.

I love that new icon – I even changed BBedit’s default font to Comic Sans so I could code in style! (WARNING: sarcasm levels high)
Updated BBedit slogan:

Hey Jon, I just wanted to let you know that I used your font in my new layout and I think it turned out pretty well. I tried using your textpattern comments hack (part 2) and I couldn’t get it to work quite right. I think the problem was in my div classes though. I really like the font though, thanks a lot!

Must admit I first thought the icon to be hideous. Even changed it back to the old one. But after a few weeks I went back and looked at it again, and it has grown on me since. Now I think it’s fantastic :)

Hello.. I remember way back in the 80s, dotmatrix printers were “in” and it all was good. Then came bubble and ink cartridge printers and everybody could print their favorite font. Since mostly everything was printed in “Times” Comic Sans was something fresh.. and somewhat cool… but that was more than 15 years agoo!! enough already!!

Anyway.. just stating the obvious hehe… Jon your page keeps getting better and better… I not only admire your job, I admire that you can have the time to do all this!!
