Tally Ho Chaps!

Back in June, I moved out of my little rented desk with the lovely people at MCC Design. I’d been using a spare desk for 2 years, and the time felt right to move on to the next step – my own proper office. I should say ‘our’ though, as I’m sharing with Mr Oxton. The serviced offices we’ve moved into are in the ex-RAF Rissington base in Gloucestershire, and you can see the new pad in our flickr photos.

More on that another time, but for now, to celebrate our new surroundings, I’ve added an RAFish desktop to the extras section:

New desktop wallpaper

I’m still slowly doing site updates, bit by bit, and one of the changes I want to make is refreshing the desktops I have on offer. These are 3+ years old now, and they need updating to new identity.

The first of these is Bloody Hippy, available here in enourmo-scope 1920×1200 resolution:

I have a question for anyone listening – do I really need to supply all the different resolution versions like Veer do My Intention is to design them to be centred – so that it doesn’t matter if edges are cropped. Is that enough? Let me know if I’m missing a trick here!

Firefox desktops updated

I’ve now moved the Firefox desktops to a new site takebacktheweb.org. This is by far the most requested download on the site, so moving them will help my bandwidth.

The desktops have also been updated with the latest, more polished version of Firefox logo, and the official strapline ‘take back the web’.
