Little Big Planet 2

06 Aug 2010

Little Big Planet is the video game that has it all – inventive gameplay, a truly great soundtrack, costumes, Stephen Fry narration and of course the ability to make your own games. LBP2 looks set to build on that even more, but the trouble is I haven’t finished #1 yet! (Back up your game progress folks, lest you end up like me having start all over again after a Red Screen of Death)

Little Big Planet Garden Theme

Almost all the music from Little Big Planet is available, from The Daniel Pemberton TV Orchestra original score, to existing music like Jim Noir’s ‘My Patch’. Almost all, apart from the one that I really wanted, the Gardens theme by Mat Clark. There’s something unashamedly cheery and irrepressible about it.

Thankfully Matt Laskowski of Plastic Shards Blog, has recorded the music directly from the game, and is offering the Garden Theme as a high quality mp3 from. Yay!

(A comprehensive guide to the various LBP tunes is available here.)

I didn’t manage to do a single episode of the Troika Podcast in 2018, but I’ve managed to record one now. Doing the whole process on my iPad Pro is wonderful! Episode 33 coming soon…

Found a bundle of things from my birth while at my Dads today. Leaflets on maternity benefits, welfare services and my weight card (Johnathan? Have I been spelling my one name wrong all these years?!)

For her birthday last year, some of Leigh’s chums clubbed together bought her a gin blending weekend at the Plough in Clanfield. We booked it for January (when it would be needed most). It was like a potions class, and after a lot of smelling, she now has a gin that tastes like pencil shavings! It’s even nicer than it sounds!

Just tried the Vegan Sausage Roll from Greggs. Really good - nicer than the meat one, and the thought of Piers Morgan frothing at the mouth makes it even tastier
